Freeman will accept crated, boxed, or skidded materials beginning October 13, 2008 at the above address. Material arriving after October 31, 2008 will be received at the warehouse with an additional after deadline charge.
Freeman will receive shipments at the facility according to the Target Plan. Any charges incurred for early freight accepted by the facility will be the responsibility of the exhibitor.
SC08 has contracted with a select group of suppliers the responsibility to perform the various tasks needed to set up, operate, and dismantle the exhibition. Show Management has researched the professionalism and industry reputation of the listed providers in order to bring our exhibitors the highest level of service. It is to your advantage to choose the Official Contractors. Official Contractors maintain a presence at the Service Center on the Exhibit Floor, providing trained technical staff to support your needs. Freeman is the official general contractor, responsible for drayage, decoration, and labor. Drayage pertains to the moving of freight from the loading docks to booths, and from booths to the loading docks; also between booths. Decoration pertains to installing, decoration, and dismantling exhibits. Labor for drayage and decoration, as well as for signs is also arranged through the general contractor. We recommend that each exhibitor obtain a proforma invoice for all services supplied by the general services contractor before leaving the exhibition hall.

The Austin Convention Center offers Internet Service to exhibitors participating in trade shows at the Austin Convention Center. However, for SC08, SCinet is the sole on-site provider of Internet access, service and connectivity during SC08. SCinet will provide very high bandwidth wide area connections from the Austin Convention Center to the commodity Internet and to many research and next generation networks including Abilene, TeraGrid, ESnet, and DREN. All network connection requests must be made through completion of a SCinet Connection Request Form, available at http://sc08.supercomputing.org/?pg=scinet.html.
